Things in life I find useful
In my journey so far in life there are some things I find useful in staying healthy and having a positive attitude. Now just a FYI. I’m not the picture of health or positive all the time……. But I’m always working to improve.
So here is a list of some of my top ones.
Humor, you have to be able to laugh at yourself, it truly is a game changer. I can 100% say I do this on the daily! I’m a silly person and oftentimes am just laughing for little to no reason. Plus it improves your mood.
Prayer, I grew up Lutheran, converted to Catholic and now I’m a believer in God and a prayer warrior. I love God, I do not think you need a physical building or place to worship, pray daily, ask forgiveness and mean it.
Positive mindset, start your day with a great, happy thought, wish people well, smile,hold doors for people, offer help, start a conversation…….there are so many things like this that make you feel good.
Pets, I have 2, Sheldon my elderly cat and Wally my 5 year old golden doodle, they keep me grounded and calm, I think there is a study out there about how petting your cat or dog lowers blood pressure, it does for me! Plus walking your dog is great exercise!
Finally, walking, it’s my number one form of exercise, I live in 2 spots that are perfect to get outside and either leisurely stroll or power walk. It’s calming,healthy and very good for the soul!
